A New Visual Identity Rooted in Heritage and Modernity

Aleppo, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, stands as a testament to resilience, history, and cultural richness. As the largest city in northern Syria and a historic trade hub, Aleppo has long been a melting pot of civilizations, traditions, and architectural marvels.

The redesign of Aleppo’s visual identity is a tribute to its deep-rooted legacy while embracing a modern vision. The project seeks to create a cohesive and recognizable brand for the city, capturing its unique spirit and significance on both regional and global levels.

The previous identity, fragmented and outdated, no longer reflected the grandeur of Aleppo. This new identity system redefines the city’s presence by balancing historical authenticity with contemporary aesthetics, ensuring a flexible and timeless visual language.

Drawing inspiration from Aleppo’s architectural heritage, cultural landmarks, and artisanal craftsmanship, the branding harmonizes traditional elements with a refined, minimalist approach. The color palette is carefully curated to echo the city's rich textures, from its ancient stone walls to its vibrant souks. The typography bridges classic Arabic calligraphy with modern readability, reinforcing the city’s character as both historic and forward-looking.
