about the project

svaleno is a handmade brand built on warmth, coziness, and heartfelt care. the project was born out of a family collaboration – a talented mother passionate about felting, her son and his friend with a love for craft, style, and soulful design. together, they created a series of collectible wool charms inspired by nostalgic everyday objects, full of emotion, humor, and tenderness. the goal was to reflect a sense of home, softness, and handmade uniqueness in every detail of the visual identity.

visual language & materials

the color palette is warm, nostalgic, and intentionally homey: deep red-orange for warmth and energy, dark blue for calm and contrast, and light beige as a soft, neutral base. these colors evoke vintage kitchens, enamelware, and the quiet comfort of childhood.

illustrations are playful and slightly naive, with visible textures that echo the feel of printed paper and handcrafted imperfections – emphasizing the brand’s handmade roots. all textures, papers, and finishes were chosen to highlight tactility and softness, echoing the emotional warmth at the heart of svaleno.

signature pattern & meaning

one of the core graphic elements is a pattern inspired by the look of plastic tablecloths – the kind often seen in grandmothers’ kitchens. this checkered motif brings us back to the atmosphere of home, maternal care, and slow, loving rituals. it reflects the essence of svaleno: creating meaningful things with heart, memory, and a sense of quiet joy.
