This story is a poem, a lyrical journey into the roots of Brazil’s Indigenous peoples, a culture deeply connected to the land and the sacred. Guided by the watchful gaze of the Tupi-Guarani gods, Curumim discovers the richness of his people and the natural world, with eyes full of wonder and curiosity.
For me, creating this book was both enriching and immersive. I delved into Indigenous myths, body painting, dwellings, artifacts, and visual patterns, always approaching the theme with respect and sensitivity. My goal was to portray its beauty far from stereotypes, honoring its authenticity.
Vibrant colors and expressive brushstrokes bring Curumim, the Tupi-Guarani gods, and the lush fauna and flora to life, weaving image and story into a visual poem.
