This personal series, titled "A Figure's Energy," is my way of exploring the human figure. With elongated, noodle-like arms and legs that seem to defy gravity, I aim to capture the essence of what makes us look inherently human. Our poses, sometimes awkward, sometimes elegant, are stripped down to their core, emphasizing the energy and spirit that defines us. I imagine figures with gentle curves and soft lines, embodying an almost playful yet poignant representation of human expression. I also use colors that bring these shapes to life: ghostly pastels, such as soft blues and pinks, juxtaposed with bold splashes of fiery orange and coral, on a rich, deep black background. These hues dance together in a way that feels almost otherworldly, echoing the complexity of human emotion.
On a practical note, beyond the composition, I have built this series using 3D software, which has opened up exciting avenues for exploration. The figures come to life with subtle nuances and textured surfaces, creating an illusion of depth and energy. I'm really enjoying the creative freedom it offers. I plan to incorporate more three-dimensional illustrations and animations into my future projects. There are so many possibilities, and I can't wait to see where this quest takes me.
