《Confinement and Insight 》
This series of works, through two contrasting images of "disguise" and "penetration," quietly recounts the inner landscapes and complex experiences hidden beneath social pressure. In the first, "Imperfection in Perfection," a withered flower is imprisoned at the center of a perfect wreath. Like a masked figure amidst the collective smiles, it bears the unspeakable pain of withering and suffering beneath a seemingly normal, even beautiful, exterior. In the second, "Vitality in Despair," scorched brown leaves curl like burned memories. A burnt hole, its edges scorched, is carved into the leaf, and through this scar, a faint blue flower emerges from the deep background. It's as if the inner ruins have burned a hole, finally allowing a long-buried, faint hope to be seen. Together, these two images form a silent testimony: on one hand, the suffocation of suffocation within the illusion of perfection; on the other, the crack towards redemption, burned from one's own pain within the ruins of despair.
