Child obesity is a national epidemic that begins at a very young age across various demographics. Children and adolescents who are obese are likely to be obese as adults and are therefore more at risk for adult health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, several types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. Raising awareness and shedding light to this often overlooked epidemic is paramount. The goal was to create a 24x36 poster intended to be plastered in train stations, on buses, and every other possible space.
A little bit about the process. I wanted to get away from computer based work and do something with my hands. So I thought why not get an actual happy meal and make some experimental ketchup type for the poster? The bottom two photographs show the precise application ketchup.
