Cha

Arella Ho
Tea originated in China, where it was used as a medicinal drink. It was popularized as a recreational drink during the Chinese Tang Dynasty, and tea drinking spread to other East Asian countries such as Japan.

Chá has been chosen as the brand name as it shows the identity and roots of tisane tea, which dates back to Ancient China. A handwritten typeface has also been chosen to emphasise on the idea of the loose tisane leaves as being raw and natural. A die cut window has been designed to show the flower petals of the tisane tea and furthermore enhance the idea of it being natural and untreated. The entire packaging carries an East Asian style that is minimal so as to not distract the raw and clean idea as tea is also meant to soothe and relax one’s mind.
