Red One
The unthinkable happens when Santa Claus is kidnapped from the North Pole. With only days to spare before Santa’s annual trip around the world, it’s up to his most trusted security advisor, Cal, and the unlikely “NL-4 Naughty Lister”, Jack, an infamous hacker who doesn’t believe in Christmas, to save the day. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Red One”.
· Jack picks up Dylan from school. A few moments later, Jack decides he wants a churro and pulls to the curb in front of the street vendor. He puts the passenger window down and orders two churros. The vendor hands him the order through the open window and Jacks gives him the cash. Jack starts to pull back into traffic with the window still down. It quickly cuts to an outer view as the vehicle peels off, and the window is up.
· The snowmen arrive on the beach. When they step out of the ice cream truck, the snowmen are standing directly in the sun. It cuts to a rear view of the snowmen when the one in the middle grabs the “snowflake throwing star”, and the three are standing in the shade. A moment later, when Cal tells Jack to get Ted out of there and “don’t let him get iced”, the snowmen are back in the sun as they start to chase them.
· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Dylan and Jack are trapped in the snow globes on the shelf. Gryla is talking to them with her hand next to the edge of the shelf, near Dylan’s snow globe. When she mentions “Tonight, I make the ride”, the view of the shelf shows her hand is no longer there and Dylan’s globe is closer to the edge.
· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! At the end of the movie, as Santa is making his travels around the world, it’s shown as Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Paris (France) and then Sydney (Australia). This is actually reverse of what Santa usually travels. NORAD Ready to Track Santa
“Red One” (2024) stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Kiernan Shipka, Wesley Kimmel, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Nick Kroll. It runs 123 minutes and is rated PG-13 for action, some violence and language.
