Banana Ice Cream Dessert Pizza Is the Perfect Make-Ahead Treat Tips for Making Dessert Fruit Pizza Though the recipe is straight-forward, try these tips before rolling out a Dessert Fruit Pizza. When choosing fruit toppings, fruits like bananas and apples may brown as they sit. Make sure to brush them with lemon juice to keep their color. Cut small, thin, even pieces of fruit that will be easy to bite into and won't fall off when cutting for serving. Pat the fruit dry before putting it on the pizza to avoid a soggy crust. Avoid wet fruits like watermelon that have too much water and will make the dessert soggy. Scatter the fruit randomly over the top, or arrange the fruit into attractive patterns like a colorful rainbow, flower, or face, using smaller fruits like blueberries to fill in any gaps.
