Five African lion cubs were born at Animal Adventure Park on May 7 to mother Bisa and father Solomon. The litter of five is unusually large, as lion litters typically range from one to four cubs.

The study focused on Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. It’s a protected area of about 1,328 square miles and is home to one of the world’s largest remaining roaming lion populations.
