the 100th anniversary of art deco, drawing interiors inspiration from the style’s rich colours and geometric lines.

The 1,046-foot-tall Chrysler Building, completed in May of 1930, was the pinnacle of both the then-unnamed Art Deco period and the skyscraper boom that rapidly transformed New York City’s skyline.

The Nassau County Museum of Art’s new exhibit, “Deco at 100,” opens on Jan. 18, showcasing paintings, furniture, fashion and sculptures that capture the decorative art movement of the 1920s.
