Sofia Gonzalez from City Heights wore a black kimono with a red obi, the large sash tied at the waist of the garment, which she bought at last year’s Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is free to attend, but admission to the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center costs $14 for adults. Timed tickets can be purchased online.

It was only her second time ever attending a royal garden party, and she wore traditional Japanese clothing to the event for the first time, opting for a cherry blossom kimono.
