Coloring books give life to my hopes for socialization and travel and can make my broken world seem whole, even if it’s just on the page, just for one moment. I’m not alone.

“Our culture is so strong and our people are resilient and just to be able to, you know, it’s just a coloring book. But for us, it’s just so much more than a coloring book,” Corbett says.

There’s a creative new way for Native American students to learn about their culture thanks to a coloring book series on Ojibwe traditions, which is by a Wisconsin author.

The Asian American Advocacy Fund launched the ABCs of AAPIs in May. The coloring book reimagines the alphabet using notable figures and icons that are important to the AAPI community.

It's 27 pages, each featuring a letter of the Yupik alphabet and illustrations celebrating Yupik culture and heritage. Here's Corbett again.
