Set from Oct. 29 to Nov. 3 this year, Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is observed by an estimated one billion-plus Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains globally.

The 11 th International Diwali and Dussehra Festival is scheduled for 4-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, where a capacity crowd of 10,000 is expected.
