Starting at €12,500 for the least powerful engine of the lot, the 2016 Fiat Tipo Sedan is a cheap car with a large trunk (520 liters or 18.3 cuFT).

Don’t expect the hatchback and estate to differ that much in terms of pricing from the €12,500 Fiat Tipo sedan. I’m willing to bet a tenner that the estate won’t start from more than € ...

The new Tipo is a compact sedan designed in Italy, by Centro Stile Fiat, and developed in Turkey together with Tofas R&D, one of FCA’s largest research and development centers.

From December, the sedan will go on sale in Italy and later in some 40 other countries in Fiat’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. In these markets, the car will be sold as the Tipo.

The Tipo badge will be used in all markets except Turkey. Fiat said the project name "turned out to be so successful [in Turkey] that it was decided to keep it for the car as well.
