PHOENIX – Proposition 479, which asks Phoenix-area voters to extend a half-cent sales tax to fund transportation, is tucked away near the bottom of Maricopa County’s four-page ballot.

“Prop 479 will be under the statewide initiative, so we’re just asking people if you value a good commute, please check out Prop 479.” Current funding is set to expire at the end of the year.
