However, the studio also hasn’t forgotten where it came from. In honor of Bungie’s 30th anniversary, the team has created versions of Halo’s Magnum, Battle Rifle, and Energy Sword for Destiny 2.

Now in Halo Infinite, the magnum seems to finally have found its place within combat. The Sidekick isn’t going to dominate firefights from across maps and it’s not going to be useless.

The original Halo magnum — called the Forerunner here — is a bulky, powerful pistol with a huge zoom for scoring easy headshots. And it works exactly the same as it did in Halo 1.
