The “Iron Gwazi” roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has won the “best new roller coaster” Golden Ticket Award, presented by Amusement Today.

At the opening of Iron Gwazi in February, passengers ride to a 206-foot-tall peak, the tallest in Florida, and then plunge into a 91-degree drop before it reaches 76 miles per hour.

TAMPA, Fla. — Move over Iron Gwazi: a brand new roller coaster has finally arrived at Busch Gardens. "Phoenix Rising," the park's tenth coaster, opened to pass members on Wednesday.

Iron Gwazi has a 206-foot peak into a 91-degree drop and a top speed of 76 mph. There are at least a dozen airtime moments on the 4,075-foot track.
