A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Nepal on Monday, centered in the Jajarkot district about 250 miles northeast of the capital, Kathmandu, which was hit hard by the magnitude 5.6 earthquake on Friday.

Jajarkot district official Ek Raj Upadhayay said buildings with damage after Friday's quake may have been further compromised, but no details were available.

At least 105 people were confirmed dead in Jajarkot district, a mostly agricultural area, while 52 people were killed in the neighbouring Rukum district, officials said. Another 184 were injured.

Neighboring India offered to help in the rescue efforts. The quake’s epicenter was in Jajarkot district, where 92 people were confirmed dead and 55 others injured, Kadayat said.
