YouTube will raise the minimum age to live stream alone to 16, starting July 22, 2025. Teen creators ages 13 to 15 can still live stream, but only if an adult is visibly present and actively involved.
YouTube made the announcement through its Help support page. “As of July 22, we are increasing the minimum age required to live stream to 16 years old,” the company said in its official statement.
It’s worth noting that YouTube is experimenting with the live stream leaderboard feature with a small group of users. However, it plans to expand the feature later on to the masses.
