By default, your location history is off when you use Google Maps. If you have opted to turn it on, your activity is saved in the cloud and is viewable in the app’s Timeline feature.

Google Maps will only store your “Timeline” location history on your mobile device starting December 1st, 2024. It will delete your data if you don’t opt in to the new settings by then.
