Lockheed Martin Skunk Works has signed a memorandum of understanding with Electra.aero to explore opportunities for the U.S. startup’s in-development EL9 ultra-short-takeoff-and-landing aircraft.
Electra says the design allows the aircraft to take-off at only 35kt (65km/h) and in a distance of just 46m (150ft); range is a claimed 1,100nm (2,037km). Service entry is targeted before 2030.
