02-16-2021 DESIGN This chilling font visualizes Arctic ice melt The new font captures ice melt loss in the Arctic, down to the letter.
Apparently we have Boston-based Font Bureau to thank, who developed the all-new "Prelude" sans serif font family for the device, along with a related "Apres" set for print and marketing.
In 1979, the font, much like the ice, is at its thickest, with extra bold characters and what Helsingin Sanomat 's art director Tuomas Jääskeläinen describes as "icy sharp edges".
