And as of late, that wonder has been directed at Maryanne Moodie, the Brooklyn- and Melbourne-based artist responsible for the most stunning woven wall-hangings your Instagram feed has ever seen.

Their popular line of woven wall hangings, Cactus + Bones, features striking fringes, moon phases, and geometric patterns. “We love the creative, laid-back West Coast style,” Mazza says.

The wall hanging is made from plant fibres, rope and horsehair and is on show in the Tate Modern retrospective of the artist, Every Tangle of Thread and Rope (until 21 May).
