Dubbed Mazda RX-9, this supercar vision is based on the patent filing from the summer of 2021 related to the structure of a sports car looking akin to the beloved RX-Vision Concept.

Mazda even went so far as to create a 1:18-scale model of the RX-Vision concept. At $535, they weren’t cheap, and the company only made 30 of them.

But Mazda wasn't always pigeonholed like this. In fact, Mazda's legacy lays out a slew of innovative, performance-strong models, from the legendary RX-7 to its Subaru STI-competing Mazdaspeed 6.

Unofficially named the Mazda RX-X, it appears to have been based on the RX-Vision Concept. It has a similar footprint and overall shape, though it boasts more curves in all the right places.
