Another baby deer was rescued in Park Hills, about a seven-minute drive from Fort Wright, the same day, the city confirmed to The Enquirer. The rescue mission was posted to Reddit on Wednesday.

Baby deer, also known as fawns, are born between late May and early June, according to New Jersey Fish and Wildlife. If you come across a fawn laying alone, leave it there.

Humans should leave a baby deer alone if it is seemingly healthy, as the mother is likely nearby. The more time humans spend in the area, the more likely they are to attract predators to the location.
