The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said Jodie Price Perault turned herself in on Feb. 23. Deputies said they heard multiple complaints about Perault deceiving numerous people in January.

Deputies received "numerous complaints" about Jodie Price Perault, who posted on Facebook several times between September 2023 and January 2024 that she had only months to live, deputies said.
