Point Nemo, also known as the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility, is the point in the ocean farthest from any landmass. It is located in the South Pacific Ocean at coordinates 48°52.6′S 123°23.6′W.

South of Easter Island, and north of Antarctica, ocean surrounds this point as far as the eye can see, and plunges to depths of over 13,000 feet (4,000 meters).
