Christophe Gans, the director of the original Silent Hill movie from 2006, is back to helm Return to Silent Hill. He has also co-written the script with Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider.

The third installment to the Silent Hill film franchise, which will be produced by Terrifier producers Cineverse, is set to arrive in theaters on January 23, 2026.

The second film, 2012's Silent Hill: Revelation, was a direct sequel to the original movie and an adaptation of Silent Hill 3. However, Gans was not involved with that production.
