Though Thrill Seeker was mostly made up of songs written before "Cradles," it reinforced Maisonneuve's imaginative worldbuilding; he's only just started to dream of new wrinkles to add to Sub Urban.

About the project, Sub Urban shared, "Thrill Seeker tells a story of adolescent imperfection from the perfectionist. I wrote and produced the collection of songs from the ages of 16 to 18.
