Guess we didn't get an in-depth manual. I've been given a TIFF with a specific kind of compression that's been converted to a PDF to upload. The PDF will be converted back to a TIFF on the server.

In my experience, zip compressed TIFF files are smaller than LZW for photographs. I don't mean zipping up a TIFF file into a .zip; TIFF supports compression inside the TIFF container.
