In a bid to combat the extensive damage caused by feral hogs in rural Oklahoma, Sen. Dusty Deevers, R-Elgin, has introduced SB478, known as the Free to Hunt Feral Hogs Bill.

The hogs tested positive for rabies. “We started to investigate why feral hogs would be in that area,” Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture Captain Jerry Flowers said.

When Oklahoma farmers, ranchers and landowners have a pig problem, they turn to Alls for help. It takes eradicating 70% of wild hogs in an area just to keep the population level, he said.

They came in waves from March 3-10th to East Feliciana Parish from Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania to hunt wild hogs.
