One doesn’t have to be familiar with the intricate details of the television show “Gabby’s Dollhouse” (which debuted in 2021) to enjoy its feature-film debut, but it probably helps. However, co-writer/director Ryan Crego is making an effort to help with accessibility, bringing in a roster of comedians to help those unfamiliar with this world of toys and magic find some humor in the middle of all the animated adventuring. “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” isn’t stunning, but it remains appealing, with Crego putting together a colorful journey into the wilds of imagination, adding musical numbers a ...read more...
