There’s been some suggestion that Robinne Lee’s 2017 novel, “The Idea of You,” is actually fan fiction detailing an obsession with the boy band One Direction, with particular attention on member Harry Styles. Lee’s denied this, but the premise has a certain focus that’s suspiciously specific, telling the tale of a 40-year-old woman falling into a torrid love affair with a 24-year-old singer who’s part of a music industry machine.
