Might take advantage of this. I wanna pick up American Graffiti for sure.

*EDIT* Didn't realize that Amazon bumped it up to 25 bucks from 18 to even out the deal. Screw that!

Damn! Nice markup on those titles! Most of those are $9.99 at Best Buy. Wow. What a failure.

I was gonna jump on Legend and American Graffiti, but that mark-up on AG killed my enthusiasm. I'll wait for now.

I would do Brazil but already ordered the Sandler flicks from Columbia House for ~$16. Meet The Fockers is too high-priced and I already have Meet The Parents...

I was going to get American Graffiti and Legend, but AG's price made a big jump up.

Daylight, Babe, and What Dreams May Come would be options for me if they weren't $20+.

Yea, when things SOUND "too good to be true" ($8 off 2 titles), they usually are, especially when the prices are in the $20-24+ range. I'd planned to get BACKDRAFT ($20.49) & AMERICAN GRAFFITI ($24.49??!!!), but as they'd be $18.49 AFTER the $8 off, Not gonna happen... :-(

Hate to echo what those above have stated, but the price bump on American Graffiti killed the deal for me - would have bought that and Legend.

@Blu-Me if your Best Buy has those movies for $9.99 You better run down and get them as they were miss-marked.

Best Buy has them listed at double or more than $9.99

Meet the Parents, and Meet the Fockers are $22.99.
All the others are listed as $19.99

The only one anywhere near the $9.99 is Psycho at $14.99

Those were probably the DVD versions you saw.

given the shoddy quality of Universal catalog titles, will wait to see reviews prior to making purchases at any price. Hopefully Brazil is obtained by Criterion again.

(in Universal Studios staff voice): Hi, we're the "bomb factory". We produce mediocre movies, average at best Blu-rays, and charge you fortunes for them.

I got Meet the Parents and A Beautiful Mind for under 20 bucks total. Shame about the other ones though. I would have bought a lot more if the other prices were any good.

This so-called sale is a joke! Amazon jacked up the prices, before they're giving the customers 8 dollars off, when you buy 2 blu-rays? You'll still be paying the regular price for each blu-ray, with the 8 dollar discount, so therefore, it's not a sale. Listen up Amazon! We wasn't born yesterday, and we're not fools!

I'd already had Legend and American Graffiti on preorder. I considered reordering them both to obtain the $8 discount but, as others have said, there was a recent price increase on Graffiti. There would still be a little savings over my existing preorders, but not that much. Also, I've been thinking of cancelling my American Graffiti preorder because there are too many other titles I have on preorder with the same release date. I'll likely keep Legend on order, though. I hope the transfer is solid at least.
