Ibrahim Faruqi

Biography

Ibrahim Faruqi is an investor based in Bessemer’s Bangalore office. Ibrahim focuses on enterprise cloud software, internet marketplaces, fintech, and health tech. 

He earned his MBA from London Business School and holds a BA and MS in engineering from IIT Kanpur. Prior to joining Bessemer, Ibrahim was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group where he was leading digital transformation projects in the TMT and IG verticals of the firm. Previously, he was on Bessemer’s investment team in Europe. In addition, he’s worked at Orios Venture Partners, leading numerous early-stage investments across  consumer internet, retail, gaming, and alternate commerce sectors. His foundational experiences were shaped by his work at startups like Tracxn and Snapdeal. 

Ibrahim is a passionate sport enthusiast, deeply engaged with Formula 1 and football. He also enjoys reading and playing badminton and cricket.
