I'll nominate Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. I believe someone else nominated it a while back & it narrowly lost. I read it anyway & gave it 5 stars.

Yes, it's been 2nd in the polls for the last three times.

I agree with many who have already posted. Sapiens is a great book. I read it a while ago and would be interested in discussing it.
I'm a brand new member, and it was seeing Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind nominated several times here was what prompted me to join, so I'd like to second the nomination.
Hi, I would like to nominate Stuff Matters: Exploring the Marvelous Materials That Shape Our Man-Made World by Mark Miodownik.
Nominations are now closed. Since we really only received three nominations, I added a couple of books that received a significant number of votes in previous polls. Please vote for your preference at the following poll:

Please use the "add book/author" link just above the comment box to insert a link to the Goodreads book page for the book you are nominating, so other members can more easily assess it.
You may nominate a book which has been suggested previously and did not win.
Please do not nominate a book which is unlikely to be available to all members, such as one which was just published within the last three months or which is only available in the U.S.
Nominations will close on January 20 or when we have about 10 good nominations, whichever occurs first.
