“True beauty is what lies inside of us, not what the world sees. A beautiful shell that houses a vile soul becomes sullied over time. But an outer shell, imperfect as it may be, that houses a beautiful, shines with that beauty, radiating it for all who have eyes to see.”

“Have you ever heard of the theory that it is better for one man to die than an entire nation to suffer? Do you believe that to be true? Is it ever okay to take a life in hopes of saving others?”

“The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive. To him... a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death. Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create -- so that
without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.”

OH MY GOD YOU PUT UP THE GIVEAWAY FOR ENDURE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! I JUST REALIZED HOW CLOSE IT IS UNTIL THE RELEASE DATE (sort of at least...) AND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONGGG!!! I just remember around a year ago I stumbled upon your book and I was so excited to read it. I was traveling in Tanzania on Lake Tanganyika when I actually read the first book and I couldn't put it down, it was the only thing I would do. I know its terrible that i was spending so much time reading it instead of doing other things (I mean, we were in Tanzania, there was plenty of amazing things to do) but I was so caught up in it and I couldn't stop. I would read it early in the morning, late at night, at dinner, on this little fishing boat they had, pretty much any spare time I could find. I remember once I finished it, (which didn't take long) it was really late at night and I ran up a path that went through the rain forest for a little bit to get to the only place that had wifi in the area. which was a little lodge. As I sat in the little lodge, I was able to very slowly download Ignite onto my kindle (It had luckily just came out). Once it was on there, I ran back to the little wooden room we were staying in and continued to read all night again. I guess this is just a really long way of saying that I love your books so so much that I literally ran through the rainforest to be able to read it. I wish I could do it again if that meant I could have Endure right now. Thank you so much for writing these books, they really mean a lot to me and I can't wait to read Endure, I'm sure it will be amazing and a great (but sad and unwanted) way to end the trilogy. Most books have either a good plot or good writing, but yours was both. It made me feel so many different things that I didn't think I could feel when reading, and I read a LOT. The way you wrote it made me laugh, cry, smile, and feel like I was right there with Alexa the whole time. It really is an amazing book and I can't wait to read the last. Thank you for everything again, I love you and your books so much and I always will.

Oh and I am working on a drawing right now of Alexa, I will try and finish it soon and find some way to show it to you / send it to you :))
