What’s worse than catching your boyfriend cheating? Coming to work the next day and seeing him with the other woman.
I curate art for a living. This big show was supposed to pay my bills for the next year. Oh, and did I mention the star artist is my unfaithful ex?
So I try to put on a brave face—after all, the clientele are worth billions. But my ex is doing everything in his power to rub it in. Holding his new girl a little too tight. Hanging around me a little too close.
What I did next was a teensy bit I grabbed the closest revenge hookup I could find... Who just happened to be the billionaire dropping five mil at the auction.
Kissing him was bad. The night that followed was worse (in the best way possible). But after that, it looked like I might actually get my happily-ever-after… Until he finds out that I'm pregnant with his baby.
SINFUL BLAZE is the first book in the Chekhov Bratva duet. Pasha and Daphne’s story continues in the second and final book, SINFUL BRIDE.
I think this book deserves all the high ratings it got. And I think the 5 star rating from other users describe the book perfectly. But I don’t write my reviews for others, I write them for myself so I can remember how I felt about the book.
The book is very good and the plot is intriguing enough to keep me reading. However I am a little annoyed at where it cut off. I think it was a good cliffhanger, but there are smaller tidbits of info I felt like should’ve been closed out. For example, she is terrified of guns but we never learn about why in this book & it seemed like a big deal. Their relationship is really hot and cold and I didn’t seen a whole lot of character development for them. The whole plot is about how she is pregnant, thats like the whole storyline which I didn’t expect but in hindsight should’ve. But I thought the scenes were really well written. His business doesnt make much sense we never really learn about it but get to see behind the curtain a few times. The smut scenes were written well. Overall the author did a good job!! I read a little into book 2 and stopped at chapter 3. I just wanted to kinda close out the series in my head and reading the next few chapters of book 2 did the trick. But it wasn’t captivating enough of a book 1 for me to be wanting to read book 2 asap.

Talk about snooze fest. This story was very bland. There was no anything. And the side bratva drama was confusing and useless. It seems to me like the two mcs were just roommates with benefits. And Daphne was so very annoying with the whole “does he actually like me” bs. And the ending was extra dumb. I did not like a single character. There was no romancing and no swooning. I need to read a Mariana Zapata book to remind me what romance really is.
I just can’t…. 15% in and I realize how much book is left and there is a second book … this couple is annoying me and I really don’t like the MFC . Nope …
This is a well written book with strong likable characters in Pasha and Daphne. The author does a great job developing the story and paints her scenes perfectly. She takes you into their lives with an intense storyline and a fierce possessive love. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific read. I'm looking forward to the next book.

ENTERTAINING!! This first book in the Chekhov Bratva duet is very ENTERTAINING. Right from the beginning this book is intriguing and amusing. Pasha and Daphne’s first encounter is so INTERESTING and IGNITING. I couldn’t help but be captivated with them. Escaping into this story with these inviting and alluring characters is refreshing and satisfying. I enjoyed the chemistry between Pasha and Daphne, it’s definitely sizzling. So sensual and passionate!
Another aspect of this story I appreciated is the strong family relationship the Chekhov have with each other and how they welcomed Daphne into their fold. Daphne’s faces some hard challenges with her parents, mainly breaking free of them.
Each chapter brings new confrontations, revelations and suspense. I couldn’t put it down.
During their story Pasha and Daphne develop such an intense and intimate connection to one another that is beautiful and so touching. Pasha’s determination and love for his family is commendable and so heart-gripping but it’s how he and his family is showing Daphne what caring and respecting one another makes them so much stronger and powerful. It lights a strength within her that is empowering and heartwarming. A MUST READ and I look forward to reading this couples HEA in the Sinful Bride.
I was surprised at the length of this story and it still managed to end on a cliff hanger. Not exactly my favorite type of ending because I prefer stand-alones but it still told a complete story in its own right. This had exactly what I was looking for in a mafia romance. I'm not into really dark romances and this one managed to check all the boxes (violence, deception, and some romance) without going too far into the dark territory. I look forward to reading Sinful Bride.
Overall, it’s a great story. It was extremely captivating, one of those stories that you hate to be interrupted when reading and you will want to binge-read it.
The relationship between Daphne and Pasha was sizzling hot and extremely passionate with extra spice.
The storyline for a mafia lover story is good too. Something interesting always going on.
I can’t wait to read book 2!.

This book kept me guessing. I was enthralled from the moment I started it. I normally don't read mafia inspired books. But I really did enjoy this book. I am reading the second one now as it left on a cliff hanger.
Naomi West delivers another solid 5-star read with "Sinful Blaze." Packed with dangerous men, alpha personalities, and a blend of dark, delicious, and dirty elements, this book ends on a gripping cliffhanger.

Daphne Hamish is a twenty-something year old art curator at Bloomington Brothers, an up-and-coming gallery on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and tonight is one of the biggest events of her life. The money that she gets from this big show was supposed to pay her bills and set her up for the next year. Daphne’s silver spoon socialite mom his parents had arranged the relationship between her and Conrad, one in which they should be married eventually. Conrad Ewing her now ex-boyfriend, is the star artist of the art show. Eight hours prior Conrad decided to throw her out into the streets so that his mistress Brittany's could move in and enjoy what use to be her home. It is the most shittiest day of her life and she wishes that she could've taken a Xanax or have a drink but her unfortunately her job doesn't allow her to drink on the job. Her boyfriend cheated on her, kicked her out of their home, then to add insult to injury he forced her to curate his art show. His central piece of tonight's showing is his piece de resistance, his magnum opus, which prominently features a nude painting of his mistress he left her for. He's even parading her on his arm while she blushes and wave off her new admirers. Conrad is rubbing it in her face and has been pretending to not notice her since the event began. As she stares at him Daphne is flabbergasted and wonders how in the hell did she ever found his sleazy ass remotely attractive. Now here he is pretending as if she's not only two feet away from him. As the two are left alone he started degrading her, she wanted to pick up for herself but nothing came out. Conrad and her childhood nemesis since prep school had been cheating on her and know one told her about it. Daphne and Conrad had been dating for five years and she thought that he was going to propose to her after he had her pick out an engagement ring. But when he got up on stage and drop to his knees and pop the question to Brittany with the same ring that she had picked out thinking that it was for her, it was too much for her. She went to the bar and asked for Absinthe and when he asks how much shot she needed she snagged the entire bottle searching for the rear alley exit to get away from the whole scene in front of her with a heavy heart. The bartender was trying to get her attention trying to tell that she couldn't take it, but she turned around telling him that she was having the worst day of her life. As the ran away she run straight into a hard chest splashing the Asbinthe on the front of his very expensive shirt, that person was Pasha Chekhov, Pakhan of the Chekhov Russian Bratva. She dropped the bottle and grabbed some napkins to dry the stranger up. And as she looks up at him she realized that he was flirting and trying to suppress a smirk at her as she attempts to dry his shirt. However, as they encounter persist her enemy comes running to mock her about being Conrad's new fiancée. As she approaches instantly the sparks in his eyes leaves and he buttons his jacket to conceal the stain. She stiffen as Brittany called her and her noticed. Daphne mouth the words, "help me." He looks over her shoulder at the oncoming nightmare, and in the blink of an eyes she realized that he understood everything. And he did something completely, unexpected and unscripted. He scoops down and kissed her like it's the last thing he'll ever do. Pasha is definitely not the type of man that people runs to for help, and he almost did. He almost walked leaving the beautiful creature who barreled into him standing and not getting involved. But it was something in the way that Conrad Ewing, looked at her then at him. He saw an instant flash of jealously and possessiveness overcome him. The look on his face was as if he owned her. He was looking at Pasha as if he could immediate him away from her and that was the thing that sealed the deal. He knew then that he wasn't about to walk away. In that moment as he was kissing her he had forgotten his reason for being there. It was to buy art to bribe a United State senator. For a moment while kissing her he stopped thinking about scheming and conquering. Conrad walked over to belittle her yet again. Pasha instantly hated Conrad and his mistress Brittany. His touch assures Daphne that he got it and he would take care of Conrad and his mistress. Pasha can't understand what Conrad saw in his mistress as looked at the two women side by side. He came there to bid at the auction and planned on spending a good chunk of money on a S.C. Ewing original. He wants Daphne and he's going to take what's he's craving the moment the opens for the opportunity. Because Conrad hurt Daphne and Pasha was feeling protective of her, he bid five million dollars on his painting; his life work which took him years to complete and pour vodka on it then had Daphne burn it for her to feel better and smile. Conrad was having a heart attack when he saw what happened by Pasha and Daphne while the two of them felt good and couldn't stop laughing. They ran out of the room running and drinking her stolen Absinthe down the hall until they found the storage closet where he mad passion love to her. Pasha was so drawn to her that he was thinking about taking her with him and starting a relationship because he didn't want their night to end. Fast forward four months later Daphne found out that she was pregnant with Pasha baby. She knows that she should call him and let him know but she hadn't heard from him since their one night stand four months ago either of them call even though they have each other's number. She was at this high society restaurant with her mother a silver spoon socialite who was berating her for her breakup with Conrad and was trying to force her to get back together with the man who threw her on the street, when all of a sudden her mother froze when she looked over her shoulder. Daphne turned around only to see the man who has been star of her dreams since their encounter. But instead of talking to him she took off running and Pasha took off after her. He couldn't understand why she would be afraid of him. He found out that she was pregnant and he took her to a clinic to see if the baby was his. Pasha didn't want to be a father and for years he had made up his mind that his brother Makari with get married and have children so that they could be his heir and could leave his empire to in order to carry on the Chekhov legacy. But now that he was a going to be a father everything that he had carefully planned is up in smoke. He became obsessed and possessive towards Daphne and has gone overboard with everything from scheming behind her back to provide a better living situation and a monthly stipend for her, to buying a painting where she got an enormous bonus for. He wants to be there for her for every step of the process but she keeps pushing him away to do it buy herself. She doesn't truly trust that he won't let her down. The two is still very much attracted to each other but neither of them won't make the first move. They are so much entity that is trying to keep them apart. Her ex who's trying to get back with her and his mistress who's threatening her to stay away from her property, horrible parents who doesn't give a damn about her and wants to take Pasha down for being the cause of them falling from grace then there's is many enemies who will stop at anything to bring him down. It's very hard for Daphne because she's not use to being in the mafia world and she doesn't understand that she can't carry the heir to the Pakhan and there's not a threat against her life. There were so many twists and turns and non-stop action as these two navigate through one landmine after the other all the way up to the cliffhanger.

What’s worse than catching your boyfriend cheating? Coming to work the next day and seeing him with the other woman.

Holding his new girl a little too tight. Hanging around me a little too close. What I did next was a teensy bit impulsive: I grabbed the closest revenge hookup I could find …. Who just happened to be the billionaire dropping five mil at the auction.
Kissing him was bad. The night that followed was worse (in the best way possible). But after that, it looked like I might actually get my happily-ever-after ….
Until he finds out that I'm pregnant with his baby.
This is the first book in the “Chekhov Bratva Duet” - it captivated me from the first chapter! The chemistry between Pasha and Daphne is off the page - it is passionate from the first chapter. Daphne is the art curator at a showing of her cheating ex, when she thought she could not be humiliated any more, he proposes to his new girlfriend in front of everyone at the showing. To show that she does not give a damn, she walks up to a dark handsome stranger and kisses him. The kiss turns into a hot passionate sex in the back room. Four months latter Daphne has a permanent reminder of that night …. She is pregnant!
The completer stranger and father of the child she is carrying is Pasha Chehov, Pakhan of the Russian mafia. By accident then run into each other again and when he realises that she is pregnant with his child, Pasha’s paternal mode kicks in - he wants to protect her. Eventually by stealth, she ends up moving in with Pasha. As they get to know each other, their feelings for each other deepen. The chemistry between these two is off the page and will have you hooked. Cannot wait for the next book in the duet ….
As per standard for Naomi’s Bratva Mafia Romance stories, it is dark in places, violent and dark at times, passion, secrets, loyalty and let’s not forget the heat 🔥🔥between Pasha and Daphne. The chemistry between these two are off the page!
A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊 Just for the record, it does end on a cliffhanger!
This was pretty good, but there were a lot of things that were confusing to me.
There was one major inconsistency (when the MMC was introduced to a side character AFTER they already had a conversation and established that they knew each other), but otherwise, I thought it was decent.
What I really liked: Although her lying (by omission) about her family catches up to the MFC, the MMC and family don't ignore all previous conversations with her and immediately assume the worst. I can't tell you how much I hate it when all the conflict in a story is manufactured out of miscommunication.
What I didn't like: The MMC and his crew... they kind of suck at being criminals. Why does it take so long and so many meetings to accomplish nothing with the senator? I feel like they just went around and around for no reason. The MMC made a couple of threats, but was too afraid of being arrested to actually act on them.
And I would think that they would be able to do a decent background search. And speaking of... why did Daphne go through so many hoops to hide her identity? I can understand changing her name, but what's with the cloak and dagger? She even created a paper trail of the "other Daphne" moving to a random city to hide who she was. Why? Was someone threatening her? It seems extra weird that she went through such trouble to hide her identity, but still had lunch with her mother. I don't know... a lot of it doesn't add up.
And nearly every person in Daphne's life is a "bad guy." Yes, she has her sister and her friend, but other than that, she has an awful lot of people who have it out for her, for no particular reason.
I can understand her ex stalking her, and not being able to take a hint, but once the MMC disfigured him or when the MFC stabs him, it's hard to believe he will continue persisting to get with her. Hurt her? Maybe. But believe that she will "come back to him"? No.
And I can believe him cheating on her and kicking her out of their apartment, but the fact that he proposes to his mistress on the same day is a little unbelievable. Not out of respect for her, but because if he wanted to MARRY this other chick...
And her bosses... they don't fire her after she purposely STARTS A FIRE in the gallery and publicly burns the artwork of a successful client of theirs, but they INSIST she works with said client (do they even want business??) and only want to fire her when they find out she's pregnant... which is illegal. Where is the logic here?
The start of the Chekhov Bratva hang on and you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way! Daphne is sweet, stronger than she thinks works as a curator after having a bad day finding her boyfriend of five years cheating on her with a woman who has never liked her, made a fool of her when he asked her to marry him right in front of her, and she still must curate his show bad day isn’t the beginning of it. While running to cry alone after being humiliated of course she bumps into a wall of muscles asking for his help when said boyfriend comes to humiliate more. Pasha sexy as all get out wall of muscles the Pakhan of the Chekhov Bratva family he isn’t a man you don’t want on your radar he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, overprotective of those he cares about so when a beautiful woman begs him to help her, he does by kissing her right in front of the man who wanted to humiliate her. But they both enjoyed the kiss so much that it ended with them spending a little more time together, both thinking it was a onetime deal but neither of them knew their paths would change. (this is where it gets good) Pasha takes the painting that her ex. did for his mistress that sold for five million dollars pouring alcohol on it and handing her the lighter it felt good to watch it burn just as he had burned their relationship. Daphne came from an influential family but dysfunctional on so many levels after realizing she was pregnant while fighting with her mother about not marrying her ex. of course she runs into that same wall of muscles dropping her bag and him finding out she was pregnant. After moving her into his penthouse them really getting a chance to know each other allows them to grow closer but her parents are proving to be a problem that he is happy to take care of but will he stick around after finding out the truth about her, will he understand why she changed her name, will he be there for her, for the baby, do her ex. get the message and where are they headed?
Daphne is a curator in an art gallery. The star artist is her ex Conrad. She found out that he had been cheating on her. They were together for five years and were engaged. While Daphne is watching Conrad brings his new girlfriend Brittany up on the dias he asks her to marry him right in front of Daphne and everyone in the gallery. Daphne runs in to a wall of muscle and when Conrad comes over to gloat she asks the man to help her. Pasha is the Pakhan of the Chekhov Bratva and he has gone to the gallery to buy a painting for a person he wants a favor from. Pasha kisses Daphne to save her from humiliation. Pasha enjoys kissing Daphne so much that he takes her o a storage closet where they end up having sex. Pasha buys the painting that Conrad painted of his mistress and then he proceeds to pour alcohol on it and hands the lighter to Daphne who in turn burns the painting that sold for five million dollars and she felt fantastic. Daphne came from a family with money and influence but she has changed her name and has distanced herself from her parents. 4 months later Daphne finds out that she is pregnant. She is in a restaurant with her mother trying to tell her that she will not marry Conrad when she runs into Pasha and the pregnancy test that was in her purse falls on the floor when her purse tipped over. Pasha was glad to see Daphne, he has not been able to stop thinking about her. He asks about the pregnancy test and is it his. They take a paternity test and it is Pasha’s. Pasha tricks her into moving to his penthouse. The more time that Pasha and Daphne spend together they develop feelings for each other. Pasha’s family has had problems with the Hamishes. Daphne hated the way she was treated by her parents so she changed her last name. Pasha thought he would have problems with the Hamishes after he exposed that one of their daughters was cam girl. That was Daphne’s sister Melanie. Pasha has started to fall in love with Daphne, he knows she is the woman for him. Brittany gives proof to Pasha of Daphne’s last name change and who her parents are. Will Pasha back off from Daphne? Will Daphne give birth alone? Will there be more problems from the past? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via Booksprout.
Naomi West delivers a fiery, captivating romance in Sinful Blaze, a story that sizzles with drama, revenge, and undeniable chemistry. The novel is centered around an art curator, freshly heartbroken after discovering her boyfriend’s infidelity. But instead of dwelling in despair, she finds herself making a bold move—using the first man she sees as her revenge hookup at an art auction. The man? A billionaire who’s ready to spend five million dollars at the event.
The quote, "A woman like you should never be on her knees," he murmurs. "But damn, do you nearly bring me to mine," perfectly captures the power dynamic in this novel. The billionaire recognizes the heroine’s strength, yet is brought to his own vulnerable moments by her. Their relationship starts as a reckless escape but quickly transforms into something far deeper and more emotional.
West's heroine is not just a damsel in distress. She’s smart, determined, and ready to fight for her career while trying to heal from betrayal. The billionaire isn’t just a one-dimensional figure either—his own scars and emotional baggage make him the perfect match for the heroine. Their chemistry is electric, with passion and tension simmering on every page.
The unexpected twist of a pregnancy adds emotional complexity to the story, as both characters must decide how to navigate their intense connection while preparing for an entirely new future. Naomi West balances steamy romance with heartfelt, raw moments, creating a gripping tale that’s both sexy and emotional.
If you're looking for a billionaire romance filled with heat, heart, and an art-world backdrop, Sinful Blaze is a perfect choice. West’s writing will pull you in from the very first page, and the tension between the characters will leave you breathless.
Is my ADHD hyper fixating on these stories? Probably tbh.
Yet another duet that you have to read both to feel any kind of satisfaction, but I still liked this one!
What's Inside ↴
Book One: ✨ Mafia boss hooks up with FMC after she lights a 5 million dollar painting on fire ✨ Mafia boss secretly is obsessed with her but is too stunted to figure out how to show it ✨ A chance meeting brings them back together and surprise! she is pregnant ✨ He burns everyone in her path to keep her safe while forgetting SHE needs to be taken care of emotionally
Book Two: ✨ Mafia boss realizes how he can have human emotions ✨ Surprise family twists! ✨ Conrad and Brittany get their HEA (lol) ✨ Big Russian family > everyone
Usually I do a "pro/con" list for books, but I am skipping that because all of the "cons" are for a reason and most resolve in book two.
✨ Pasha is a great MMC. I wish he was not a mob boss, tbh. He is much more of just a stupid rich guy who has no idea how to show feelings outside of spending money, not really a cold blooded killer.
✨ Daphne is a straight up doormat until book two. Like constantly being manipulated and controlled. She never pushes back in a meaningful way, she never tries to truly connect to Pasha despite his actions, etc. This drove me wild until I got to book two.
✨ I continue to love that in Naomi West's mafia world, women are valuable in positions of power. No virginity trope, no "stay home because you are a woman" (there's a little of this but Sofi can do whatever the f she wants), no "omg a daughter???? I am RUINED!!!!" from the MMC, etc.
✨ A little too much banging in this one. If you remove 50% of the spice, this duet would be one book. Kind of wish it was tbh. The doctor's office????? Come ON.
✨ I mean, whatever, I just want to have fun in a book. And this was fun.
I love when books take you on a ride. This is definitely one and I devoured it.
ooo this book was good but left on a cliff hanger. daphne is an art curator and her now ex fiancée is one of her artists however they just broke up when she found out he was cheating on her with brittany so during one of the art shows she’s meets pasha who is a russian mob boss. he buys one of conrad’s painting for five million dollar and they burn it in front of everyone and then they fuckkkkk. four months later she’s pregnant and runs into pasha again. he takes care od her and they move in together but he sleeps on the couch. throughout the book conrad try’s to get back with daphne but she’s not here for it at all and pasha is trynna run is arms dealing. but backstory is daphnes parents fucked with pasha so pasha destroys them socially. daphne cuts off her family and hates her parents. however the book ends with daphnes parents whistleblow and get pasha arrested but this was right after he learned that daphne is their daughter so he thinks she was in on the IG fuck up and is trynna stab him in the back. obviously she wasn’t but when he gets arrested she has no idea that he had been just that he’s ignoring her. she goes to her sisters house and ends up in labor. the book ends on a cliffhanger where she’s about to give birth and this pasha left her but he’s actually rotting in a jail cell rn waiting to get out bc he wants to go to her but has no idea she’s in labor. they also need to deal with her psycho ex, his psycho fiancée and her psycho parents. excited to see how the second book goes
This is the 1st book in the Chekhov Bratva Duet it's Pasha and Daphine's fast-paced intense Bratva romance that grabs your attention from the very beginning. Daphine is an art curator and her boyfriend is the featured artist he has a big show coming up that should give her some financial freedom. Then Daphine catches her boyfriend cheating on her and he throws her out of the apartment they live in. However Daphine is still expected to do his art show where he rubs the other woman in her face repeatedly. To show him how little he affects her she kisses Pasha a complete stranger and the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva. Pasha is attending a gallery show when a beautiful woman walks up to him and kisses him. That kiss turned into an incredibly HOT night together that four months later Daphine realizes has left her with a permanent reminder of that night. Can Daphine trust Pasha to take care of her and the baby? You really need to read this fast-paced intense Bratva romance to see what happens. I am looking forward to the next book to see where the story goes. I would recommend reading this book.

I seem to be a minority with this book. The story isn't bad. I just didn't like Daphne. She was fierce and strong in some instances, yet in others, she allowed herself to be manipulated and taken advantage of. She even insulted her sister and best friend when they both told her to block Conrand and block her parents!! I wish she would have been more honest with Pasha too, especially after what her parents hinted at and the anger Asya showed at dinner towards her mother. Daphne just allowed everything to come out in the worst way while ignoring all the red flags with her parents and everything else. I love Pasha, even if he is so pushy and overbearing. Love asya, sofiya, and Mak. They are such great characters, and I love them. I don't hate Daphne. I just don't really like her as she is right this second. She did stand up for herself, but it was a little too late with everything crumbling around her. For a 600 page book, I didn't mind how the story was evolving. In some instances, it was a lot. But there is a decent plot with the Hamish's, Brittany, Conrad, and the senator. Something is so fishy.
‘I should’ve walked away before I ever kissed her. I didn’t.’
“You really want to take care of me, don’t you?” She says it like this is the very first time she’s actually fully understood the concept.

Sinful Blaze is book 1 of Chekhov Bratva Duet, this book follows the story of Daphne and Pasha. Once I read the blurb for Sinful Blaze, I just knew that I had to get my "hands" on this book to find out what exactly happens between Daphne and Pasha. I'm so thrilled that I got to read Sinful Blaze, I found it to be both suspenseful and a page-turner. I also thought it to be a well-written mafia romance book. I thought author Naomi West did an outstanding job of telling Daphne and Pasha's story, as well as using different emotions and expressions for the characters to show who they are throughout the book. Now I'm not going to give out any details as Sinful Blaze is just the beginning of Daphne and Pasha's story and I do not want to give any spoilers to future readers of this book. I can't wait for book 2 to become available so I can find out what happens next between Daphne and Pasha. I also can't wait to read other books written by Naomi West. An amazing start on a mafia romance story.

Daphine has just learned her boyfriend was cheating on her, he kicked her out of their apartment and now she's expected to his art showing at the art gallery she works at. What better way to get revenge but kiss a total stranger Pasha Chekhov, the Pakan of the Russian Bratva at the art gallery showing. What wild ride with these two can she trust him; will he take of her and the baby? Her family history has proven to her no one loves her, except her sister who her parents has disowned. I love Pasha's siblings Mak and Sofiya and his mother Aysa. A captivating story filled with Chekhov industry drama, her and his family drama, and two people who grow closer as they await the arrival of their baby. Can she finally believe someone loves her for her not just because she's having his unexpected baby?.

A long book and the story isn't finished at the end. I didn't realize that this is just part one and of course it ends with cliffhangers for both the h and H. There are a few bad guys messing with the h and H, her parents who are cold and nasty to the h as well as having a history of a revenge business relationship with the H. The h has an ex and the ex's girlfriend interfering. The h and H had a one night stand and a pregnancy resulted. The h is a curator of an art gallery and the H heads a Russian Mafia family. The ex's girlfriend has known the h since boarding school and her jealousy has taken the form of trying to steal the happiness from the h's life, her boyfriend, job, awards etc. She tries to steal the H from the h by providing evidence of her relationship (estranged daughter) to his enemies and casting doubt on the h's loyalty to him. The H walks in on the ex assaulting the h and has difficulty not listening to the ex's girlfriend's insinuation that the h was planning to get back with her ex and marry him, something her parents were promoting. On to part 2
This one starts off with a bang. The chemistry of the characters is off the charts. She has just been dumped, and to save her from an embarrassing situation with her ex, he steps in. They have an immediate connection and end up having a spicy encounter that will change their lives. They don't know anything about each other, until they run into each other again and their connections come to light. There is family drama, Bratva drama, miscommunication and some possessive alpha behavior to work through. I don't usually care for duets, as I find it is usually a book and a half that has been stretched to two books, but this was very decently paced and did not feel like it was dragging too much. As it is a duet, it does leave off with a bit of a cliffhanger, and the second book picks up right where this one leaves off. This kept my interest from the start. I would recommend reading this one.

Sinful Blaze is the 1st book of the Chekhov Bratva Series. Daphine works at a art gallery as the art curator. She has found out that her boyfriend and artist Conrad has been cheating on her. Daphine's ex has thrown her out of the apartment, so he can move his new girlfriend in. She is even expected to work the showing for Conrad, after what has happened. Pasha Chekhov is the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva and is attending the art showing. Pasha has noticed what is happening, so he and Daphine share a very hot kiss. Later that night, they share a extremely passionate night together. This book is wonderfully entertaining and has twists and turns, passion and steam.
