Cloverleah Pack #9

Angel in Black Leather Pants

Rate this book
Cloverleah Pack Series, Book 9 Adair was tired of waiting. He knew he had a mate, although they'd never met, and his waiting wasn't made any easier watching Tobias snuggling close with his two mates. He'd thought a lot of the smaller wolf at one time. All he had was the company of his two brothers, and endless patrols trying to keep the Cloverleah pack lands safe. A trip to Claude's with his brothers one night has some unexpected, but pleasant consequences, and after an initial misunderstanding, Adair is suddenly thrust into the world of magic, and the demands of a relationship. Vassago's never had a chance to be proud of who he was. As the second son of the king of the djinn, and being a lot smaller than his father or brother, Vassago spent a lot of time on the human realm, avoiding his family and those who had nothing better to do than bully him. After spending a horrible nine months trapped in Jake Poindexter's body, he knew he had to find his potestatem before he could claim his mate. Unfortunately, that was easier said than done. When help is offered, he's hesitant to take it, but the lure of finally being in his mate's arms was too strong to ignore. The troubles hitting Cloverleah are falling thick and fast. Insane plans of wiping out all paranormal life isn't confined to a few errant humans. It'll take the steadfast nature of a wolf shifter, who still has a habit of saying the wrong thing, and the magic of a djinn who's struggling to believe in himself, before these two will find their HEA. Contains M/M adult content. If this isn't your preference, please don't buy. All of the books in the Cloverleah Pack series can be read as standalone. However, to fully appreciate the relationships between secondary characters, it might be wise to read the series in order.

Another fun book by Lisa Oliver

This series will keep you flipping through pages as fast as you can to see what happens next! Lisa Oliver continues to amaze me with her creativity and all the different paranormal characters she creates. Their stories are never dull, or repetitive - which can be an issue in some series that are as long as The Cloverleah Pack Series..you don't have to worry about that at all with this series. I love how we always get to learn about new characters and watch them find their mates, yet at the same time we get to catch up with all the characters from previous books. I am eager for the next book and Ms. Oliver has mentioned a spin-off which I will be looking for enthusiastically! If you love shifters, can think outside the box, and love HEA - this series is for you. 5 stars!

This was on heck of a roller coaster. New paranormal species - a djinn! Whoa, that was cool. There was so much going on: fighting, magic, angry shifters, hilarious villains and so much love. Vassago was a blast to read about, and I have to say that his family sucked! Adair, bless him, gave him a pack and a family to love and be a part of. Enjoyable fast paced PNR read.

Good addition to the series.
I liked Adair and was glad he found his mate, and a mate that tried hard to fit in to the pack. I liked the tight knit bond between the brothers.
Vassago was also a good character. I enjoyed watching him try and fit In With the pact and be useful for the pack. I felt sorry for him when Adair upset him about his abilities but also understood a bit where Adair was coming from. It was an adjustment for him being part of a couple after spending so much time alone

I subtracted 1 star just for the nervy fear biter poodle. It was illogical animal behavior for the pet dog to not act submissive to the shifters in the first place. Since it did misbehave, it would have been logical for the shifters to put the dog in it's place, especially with them being alphas, and prevent the dog from biting with a warning. Picking the dog up was a human action and rewarded the dog for bad behavior. A lot of pack dynamics is controlled by warning- posturing, growling, snapping and light contact nipping.

It's a turn off for me for a shifter to have a pet animal. I want the focus to be on his inner animal. For cute cuddles, I want a baby shifter pup or cub.

Nice relationship development. There was a lot of back and forth, here and there action and it was managed quite well.

Another Homerun!

With each book in this series I fall more, in love with the Cloverleah Pack. I was so happy that Adair didn't have, to go though a lot of what some of the other mated pairs have. Vassago on the other hand was so attuned to his mates needs. I loved how he was still able to watch, out for his mate without anyone knowing. This pack really has most amazing members. With each book we get more paranormal that I just imagine anywhere, but with the Cloverleah Pack. Looking forward to the next book.

As always the crazy drama of the storyline was more exciting than the romance, but this couple was extremely cute 😌

Adair was kind of adorable and I was really not expecting the silky panties but I did appreciate them x3

The writing gets better with each book, which shouldn't surprise me considering the books span years but I am pleased 😄

Oh Lisa I loved it!!!

I just finished it and I thought the book was wonderful. I always thought that the MERMAN was for a separate book but oh my god I can't wait to see how this works out for them. I know you will do it justice. Thank you Lisa for writing such a great story!

Bk 9. Adair a wolf shifter and his mate Vassago a Djinn. Was great to catch up with these 2 again after the previous story, where Vassago realises his mate is the pack but he has to find his Potestatem, which holds part of his soul and can call him into service. Enjoyable and Entertaining.

I really love this series. I am a sucker for shifter/paranormal reads and I have been reading this series since he beginning. I love watching how with each new mating there is a new element of paranormal added to the Cloverleah pack.

This mating is no different. Vassago is the spirit or dijinn that came out of one of the bad guys in the previous book and we found out in that book that he is the mate to Adair. But it is not a mating of quick proportions. Vassago has to find his life stone first and foremost in order to not be summoned by anyone again and to be able to live his life it's his mate without that being held over his head.

But this is not an easy feat. He has been looking for months and still does not have it and even though he keeps checking in on his mate Adair, the mating call is getting to hard to ignore. When Vassago can no longer ignore the call Adair could not be happier.

But it is not a mating they had it expected it to be because Vassago is summoned in the middle of when things are starting to get good and now Adair has to find him and have him released before they can be together. This is when all hell breaks lose for this pack once again and the danger starts coming at them again at full force.

Can the Cloverleah pack start to figure out who is behind everything or will one of their own be hurt in the process of weaving their way through he mess that seems to follow this pack?

I really enjoyed this read but I am sooooo looking forward to reading Teilo's story because I have a feeling that he is in a run for his money. This is an amazing series and each book makes it even better. I look forward to more books by Lisa Olivier in the guture.

Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review

Adair’s mate has found him but unfortunately Adair has yet to meet him. However, he will stay true to him no matter how long it takes him to return. So when Vassago returns only to be summoned, Adair will do whatever it takes to bring him home.
Angel in Black Leather Pants by Lisa Oliver is ninth in The Cloverleah Pack series. This book is definitely best read in chronological order. I enjoyed Vassago. He was an unexpected but kind-hearted male full of power. He brought a different element to the pack which I enjoyed seeing. I loved him and Adair together. Adair is used to protecting so is struggling a bit with having a powerful mate, one who doesn’t really need his protection. I love that Ms. Oliver showed Adair that he could offer more than brute strength to his mating. I also loved that his mating was not smooth sailing. Adair and Vassago are both used to doing and saying what they want, so learning tact and compromise are necessary skills for both men to learn. I loved meeting the men of Cloverleah pack. I am sure I missed some nuances as this was my first time visiting this world but overall I enjoyed the feeling of respect and community. I look forward to seeing where Ms. Oliver will take us as well as starting from the beginning to see how we came to be at this point.

Vassago is definitely a wonderful new addition to the pack and we get to know about yet another paranormal species, the Djinns. And for Adair, who had to give up his hook ups with Tobias when Tobias met his bears it's finally his turn to find the one for him.
But as always with this pack, if there's a new mate there's new problems and the threat against the pack is still on going and the pack has to split to fight at two places.

Great fun. Love these stories. They are easy to listen to and follow (assuming you start at the beginning) but there are a heap of bends getting to the MCs' resolutions and life outcomes. Pure fantasy with more paranormal beings popping up their heads in each story. ❤️

Narrated excellently by John York

Adair and his brothers joined the Cloverleah Pack to help as enforcers due to all the trouble the pack gets into and ends up mating a Djinn called Vassily who holds the answer to some of the folk who’ve been after them

Adair is waiting impatiently to meet his mate, Vassago. Vassago, a djinn, is summoned away before they can mate. With part of the pack off to San Antonio and part off to Montana, this plot makes an exciting read.
