“... When two vastly different people come together... It's a given that their two worlds would collide. And maybe, in turn, both lives become that much vibrant and beautiful.
Ok this clearly isn't completed. At the time of this review, (Sept. 30, 2021) there has only been 49 chapters and I've finished all of them and let me tell you the pain I went through when I realized this was an UNFINISHED story.

He’d said he’d take care of me. He made me feel safe. He made it seem real. And then, as if he’d finally found what he was looking for, he murmured, “You’re perfect,”

It took me four and a half goddamned decades to find you, and you’d better believe you were worth the wait.
This was a cute, hot and definetly a book that says: fuck pacing. Although it wasn't as steamy as I was hoping, the book was more emotionally deep than I was anticipating either.
I enjoyed the conflict of this book mainly because it felt REAL. The regrets made, the mistake of the past, the fatigue and exhaustion and our leads trying and saying they're going to pull and yet everytime they do, they come back together whether it be fate's own curse or of their own actions.
A lifetime of trying to do the right thing and toe the line of being a Navy dependent should’ve stopped me, but none of that held a candle to how much I wanted and needed Paul. Doing the right thing could wait a little longer.
Again, it wasn't as steamy as I would hoping it would be. I saw a lot of reviews saying this book was super hot and yeah, their initial sex scenes were ...more

“Do you know who I am?” He asked, voice low as ever. I nodded once, scrambling to sit upright. Everybody in Seattle knew who he was—Benjamin Thomas. The calculating eyes that roamed over me were across billboards, newspapers, and social media headlines. He was this universe’s Tony Stark—not the superhero, but the guy. Genius. Playboy. Billionaire. Philanthropist.
“You are mine.” His voice was thick, dripping in certainty. “My baby. If you need something, I’ll provide it. If you’re sick, I’ll fix it. Your smiles, your laughs, your freckles, and those godforsaken tears all belong to me.”
He was my treasure, something personal and priceless and I worshiped him accordingly.
“Making you happy, sweet pea, is my greatest honor.”
“I’ll always be in sync with you, Toby. If you need to breathe slowly, I’ll count your breaths. If your pace quickens, I’ll race to catch up. Wherever your heart is, mine is beside it.”
I fit perfectly in the pocket of his body. Perhaps it was a happy coincidence—I chose to believe it was fate.
I loved pretty much everything about this, except....

Story wise, I'm thinking of lowering my 5 stars to a 4 or 4.5. . . . . . . .
I went into this book thinking it was going to be a hilarious and ridiculous cliche with over the top themes, and generally I was prepared for a 3 star read.
My eyes are TWITCHING at the 5 star.
No one had ever believed in him as much as the gangster did, and Jimmy didn’t want to let him down.
Yes there were some inconsistencies in the writing. Yes the timeline is wack and yes, yes, yesss. I'm aware this book had many flaws but they didn't even hinder a tad bit of my enjoyment.
Honestly, this was book was just.... Ugk. It was so good. I just wanna read book 2 now tbh. But the subtle details Cold has of taking care of Jimmy had me WEAK in the knees. He was the definition of not having to say a word but the presence of significance was on a another level.
And Maury. My dude. My fucking DUDE. I. Love. HIM!!!!! Wrinkly balls and all ...more
I take it back, Roe plays Erotica like a guitar and he writes his smut into the most gorgeous melody I've heard.

“Can’t help it,” I whispered, letting my words flow uncensored. I told him the truth. “I’m glad that I’m little and that you’re so big. Your cock takes over my whole body, and then nothing else matters. Will you breed me again? Please, Burke.” He hummed into my ear, and the vibrations traveled all the way into my guts. “I will. I’ll fuck your womb open until my old cum leaks out of you, and then I’ll give you a fresh load. I’ll take care of your hole, my little Emerson. I’ll fuck you long and hard and keep you stuffed full.”
