I loved this one so much i don't even know where to start. this probably sounds bad but my love for asshole male leads is just unreal so naturally i loved the heck out of Castien. his reluctant affection towards Eridan was everything. his general lack of guilt, remorse and empathy?! u bet i drooled every time he did something morally questionable. it was so satisfying to watch him fall despite his disgust towards feeling/expressing emotions. when his eyes glistened that one time, i stg i shed tears of my own.
Eriden on the other hand was such a cute little bean. him not understanding why he has a superiority complex was just hilarious. i felt like giving him a tight hug at times because it was so clear he just wanted to belong and feel loved.
and the epilogue was the cutest thing ever but wish it was a tad bit longer.
“Frankly, I am not sure what love is. But you are the only thing—the only person—I care about deeply. The only person more important to me than my Order.”

thank you!<3 Castien is even more emotionally stunted than Ksar which made everything hell of a lot more satisfying
