Emery (Unexpected, #3)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Cora did a fabulous job depicting a man with ADHD. In fact I’d say she probably did too good of a job because while I loved the shit out of him, he’s freaking annoying,
Really, she handled all aspects of Emery’s mental health issues beautifully. I’m no expert but I’ve worked in the mental health field for almost a decade.
The best thing about August is that he accepts Emery. Every single part, flaws and all. He proves it time and time again. Sure he made mistakes, but goddam, it’s hard being perfect all the time.
I thought maybe they fell into a sexual relationship too quickly. I came into this expecting enemies to lovers and I felt a little gipped on that front. Even if it wouldn’t have been as dark as she originally wrote it, I would’ve liked to have worked a little harder to get it.
Of course the steam factor was flawless. The neediness superb. Which is exactly what I’ve come to love and expect from this writer.
She also gave me all the emotions I crave. I cried several times, mostly for Emery and his horrific past. God, when he called Thomas dad, I was a goner. Fucking wonderful.
I’d say that’s another success under Ms. Rose’s belt and I can’t wait to read the next one. But where did Elliot come from? Not gonna lie, I was kinda holding out hope for Lex and his crazy, stalkerish ass.

so glad you enjoyed this! i've been excited to read it, but because i wasn't a fan of the previous two books i'm kind of saving it for the right time to hit. so far it seems like this may be the favorite in the series (so far) for many.

Elena, I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far, it’s hard to choose a favorite but I suppose I’m in the minority because I favored the first two. But to say I didn’t like be it, it was barely edged out. But it was different enough that I can’t predict how you would like it. I look forward to your review when you get the chance.
well fingers crossed i’ll like it cause i downloaded it today lol. i kept seeing more of my friends like it so i had to give in. it’s easy for me to be persuaded. 🤷🏻♀️😂
