liked it

I usually like weird and unsettling books but this one felt pointless. I couldn’t wrap my head around Greta and big Swiss’s relationship- I found them both unappealing and couldn’t understand why they were addicted to one another. They also seemed to hate each other which was confusing? I also hated the overt character analysis. I liked reading the therapy transcriptions, I would have read a full book of those. Overall this book was a neat concept but fell flat for me.

Sandy Running Crane So far, I feel the same way. The characters have such a strange obsession with each other that doesn’t end with love or any sort of admiration. But then again, I’m only on page 239. I’m hoping it gets better. I did like the transcriptions as well… I liked how obtuse Om is and how Big Swiss puts him in his place regularly.

I’ll finish it, but I won’t like it.

Jordan I just finished today and I totally agree. Greta and Big Swiss just jumped right into things w/ no chemistry building. They lacked compatibility and their conversations were hard to read. I really couldn’t get emotionally invested in the characters or their stories tbh

Cassandra Jasso Agree. This is my first jump back into fiction in years, so I really want to see it through. The therapy transcriptions are my favorite part of the book and the only thing that keeps me turning the page. I just can’t with the characters.

Josie The transcripts were awesome! I didn’t see their connection at all
