I have been so pumped to read this book. Just about EVERYBODY lovers this book and since I'm in my demon phase (praise Ms. Kresly Cole's horny demons) then I was sooo up for this.
Sadly, it wasn't what I expected.
First off... I can not sit through an episode of ER or Gray's Anatomy or really any health show unless it deals with some freaky OCD case. The main demon dude in this story, Eiodolon, was a doctor at Underground General (the hospital where all the beasties go to). I guess if you dig that sort of hospital stuff then you probably would find this way more interesting than me.
Another thing was the main demons in this story did NOT have horns. I really REALLY dig the horns. In Cole's books the demon's hotspot is the rubbing of his horns. I don't know why I find that appealing (I guess it's just exotic) but I found these demons missing that one little characteristic :)
The cool thing was they DID have tattoos. I really dug how they changed when certain LIFE GOALS were met. That was pretty neat... and they also moved and pulsed like in Scott Westerfield's Uglies,Pretties, and Specials. Moy awesome.
Now... another problem... but this is just me. I'm not a HUGE die hard fan of Urban Fantasy. I have never sat through Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show. I'm not big on the knives and side kicks. I mean, there are some stories that I can read with that stuff but normally in moderation. I'm just more of a "watch my man take care of it for me while I tame him" kinda girl lolz.
The juicy naughty bits were all throughout this book. This had way more pawing, panting, and pulsing (hahas!) then i was expecting. And omg at the author's creativity with Eiodolon's man butter. LOLZ!! Well, at least it was original hahas!! And it sure did what Tayla needed to give her that extra oomph she was looking for.
This book was alot like the others. Girl hates boy. Boy digs girl. Boy is horny (omg!! LOLZ!! That part was funny!! How E basically was a sexy demon -- literally!!) for girl. Boy rocks girls world. blood, knives, love, the end. Oh yeah... and some other stuff but I don't want to be a spoiler bunny.
I guess this reminded me of the Blackdagger Brotherhood but in demon form. But instead of Chip-N-Dale vampires we had Playgirl demons.
This just wasn't my cup of demon brew.

I have access to like 39 libraries in my county and I seriously fear that someday they'll take our bookmobile away. I guess if that happens I'll have to drive to Irondale or Trussville. Our little library has BUPKISS but those 2 have a wide variety of stuff.
