Paros Festival was established in the summer of 2018 and is held annually ever since. The festival's goal is to highlight the culture of the island and its inhabitants. It takes place in the capital town, Parikia, in the middle of July.
In the context of the festival, the tangible and intangible heritage of Paros revives through several actions and events. Guests interact with the past and the present through several aspects, including music, architecture, literature, religion, arts, diet, and the area’s natural environment. Exhibitions, concerts, guided tours, lectures, screenings, educational programs, and workshops supervised by local artisans allow the unseen side of the island to introduce itself to individuals.
Paros Festival comprises the effort of a group of Parian volunteers to rev up the local community to promote the island's culture and is organized under the authority of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports.
