Jack Frost is the sibling resort to Big Boulder, which is located six miles away. While Big Boulder focuses on terrain parks (50% of its overall terrain is devoted to parks), Jack Frost provides a more balanced experience, with terrain suitable for all audiences. Jack Frost has 600-foot vertical and 20 trails serviced by 12 chairlifts. Jack Frost first opened in 1972.

In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding, Jack Frost has a tubing hill.

Big Boulder and Jack Frost are now part of the Vail Resorts family after a 2019 purchase. Its new ownership means you can purchase a single Epic pass and ski at Whitetail, Liberty, Roundtop, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, and dozens of resorts across North America. During the summer of 2022, Vail Resorts plans to install two new fixed-grip quads at Jack Frost; one will replace the B and C lifts, while the other will replace the E and F lifts.

Nearby lodging options include townhomes and condominiums.
