Yorch Miranda cleverly positions them in funny or interesting situations, using them to tell as story for which he gives a title and the image, the rest is for us to imagine.

Photo-realistic Minimalism in Surreal Paintings
Irish Artist Nigel Cox upon leaving college, embarked on a three year Transglobe Expedition, with Sir Ranulph Fiennes. During his travels, predominately across sea and ice, he came across some beautiful but very remote areas, where there was almost a lack of detail in the landscape, where everything was quiet and any detail stood out from its surroundings. Cox brought these experiences into his style of painting, he calls Photo-realistic Minimalism. They almost look like, people plucked from their day to day lives and transported into a world without detail, forcing us to concentrate on the person, eliminating all of the distractions created by our everyday surroundings. More below...

Photo Realist, Painting Artist Daryl Gortner, loves to paint objects with intense color, brightly lit and items that provide a reflection or shimmer. The paintings are always a lot bigger than the original counterparts, because Gortner wants you to loose yourself in the details, notice little things that you would have otherwise missed, had the painting been to scale. Given the level of detail that goes into one of her paintings, it can take up to a month to complete one.

Thomas Subtil is brilliant at photo manipulation. Amongst all of his work, we have decided to concentrate on his work with animals. The First collection he calls Hakuna Matata meaning "no worries", in which Subtil explores what animals, in the wild, do with their downtime. When the food has been taken care of and all the important day to day things have been attended to, it is time for play and this is how they do it. The second collection is called Animetro, animals using the metro or underground to get to work, or some retail distraction or play. Enjoy...
