Lemon Iced Tea – With it’s rich, golden color and sweet, bright flavor this refreshing tea a perfect addition to your summer table. It’s just the perfect way to have a really cold cup of iced tea on a hot summer day.

Ingredients list for the Lemon Iced Tea Recipe
- 10 cups (2,5l) water
- 1/4 cup (15g) Indian black tea leaves
- 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
- 3/4 cup (180ml) lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Sliced lemons
- 1-inch knob of fresh ginger, cut into sticks (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Directions
1. Bring 2 cups water with ginger (if using) and Indian tea leaves to a boil in a small saucepan. When boiling, remove from heat and let rest for 5-6 minutes. Pass through a sieve and discard the tea leaves.
2. Pour the hot tea concentrate in the pitcher. Add the sugar and whisk well until dissolved. Add 2 liters (8 cups) of cold water and the lemon juice. Adjust the sweetness with more sugar if you want to. Chill for at least 2 hours.
3. Add some ice cubes about one tray to get a nice cold tea. Serve very cold in individual glasses with plenty of ice, and garnish each glass with lemon slices and mint leaves. Enjoy!
Note: You can also add the sliced lemon to the pitcher, but only if you are planning to drink the tea the same day. After a day in the refrigerator, sliced lemon gives a bitter taste to the drinks.
