Adjust how content on Facebook is shown to you based on your activity from other businesses

We’re gradually updating people to Meta Accounts. You may see either Accounts Center or Meta Account settings as the place to manage your account settings.

If you’re in the European Region or the United Kingdom, your ad choices are different. Learn more about your ad choices.

You must be logged into Facebook to access your Ad preferences.
This setting controls whether we can use information that other businesses or organizations send us about your activity on their websites, apps or in stores to show you more relevant content.
If you don’t allow us to use this activity to show you more relevant content, the content you see may still be based on other types of information, such as your activity on our platform. It may also be based on information from a specific business that has shared a list of individuals or devices with us, if we've matched your profile to information on that list. Additionally, if you connect information to Meta, the content you see may also be based on that information. This includes, for example, information from external accounts and apps you connect to Meta, like for shopping with certain retailers or to use with AI at Meta features.
The choice you make in your Activity from other businesses setting will apply to all of your accounts in the same Accounts Center. Regardless of your choice under this setting, businesses and organizations may send us your activity, and we may anonymize it or use it to improve our products as described in our Privacy Policy.

Adjust what ads are shown to you based on your Activity information from ad partners

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
  3. Click Accounts Center, then click Your information and permissions.
  4. Click Activity from other businesses.
  5. Choose whether we can show you ads based on your activity from other businesses.
Note: Not everyone will be able to access this setting in Meta Account or Accounts Center at this time. If these steps don't work for you, try updating your app or go to accountscenter.facebook.com on your web browser.
Note: You will only be asked to confirm your choice if you make a change to your Activity from other businesses setting.
